Les mortalités d'huîtres observées sur les côtes françaises apparaissent principalement à proximité du sédiment et pendant la gamétogenèse. Les interactions de facteurs environnementaux sur les écosystèmes conchylicoles comme la température, les apports des bassins versants et le compartiment sédimentaire illustrent un risque de mortalité lié à différentes sources de stress (Thème 1). Les variations de la qualité de la ressource trophique pendant l'effort de gamétogenèse favorise une baisse de l'énergie disponible (Thème 2) et contraint l'organisme fragilisé à fournir un effort d'adaptation (Fent 2004). The alkaline comet assay was tested on different microalgae: the clinofiagellates, Karenia mikimotoi and Alexandrium minuturn, and the diatom, Chaetoceros gracilis. The microalgae were exposed during their exponential growth to the model direct genotoxicant, hydrogen peroxide (1 h, 5 and 100 pM H2O2). Following H2O2 exposure, the comet assay was validated only for K. mikimotoi for which genotoxicity was observed from the lowest tested concentration of 5 pM with a concentration-dependent effect. C. gracilis was too small in size (4 mu m) to be correctly analysed. For A. minuturn, our lysis buffer was not strong enough to digest the cellulosic thecal plates. Les expériences réalisées avec la [U-14C] glutamine, étaient basées sur l'étude des vitesses d'assimilation. Les résultats obtenus avec deux espèces du genre Gymnodinium et une diatomée ont été vérifiés lors d'efflorescences en eau côtière et estuarienne, montrant l'adaptation des algues au milieu riche en substances organiques et leur capacité hétérotrophe en fonction de l'éclairement. Information regarding its effects on marine ecosystems is scarce. Phytotoxicity assessments were conducted in the laboratory on the common diatom Chaetoceros gracilis using both the active ingredient and its formulated product (Basamais).
